By this moment, a day before the IIFA Main, I had moved to a new hotel with the help of a local person. When I finally put my luggage at the new place, I couldn't help but cry inconsolably. He got scared, thinking he has done something wrong. I told him not to worry, it was just an outburst of all the things that had happened by then (you obvio have to check my previous posts for whole story).

I say it the best when I don't say anything at all.🙂 And I scare the hell out of people, I realize, when I don't say instead cry.

Meet this one-girl army!

It was a challenge I had thrown up on myself - to quit Zee Business overnight, its comfy green room with make-up artistes, hair persons at any anchor's disposal, and sort the shit.

I'll tell you how it feels. It feels like you've thrown yourself out on the road with your baggage and sitting on the footpath figuring life.

I learnt make-up on youtube :)
Till date, I have done my own make-up to every event I've been to, except official shoots commissioned by biggies.

If you haven't left the worldly wows to test yourself and who you are without them, you still have a long way to go. Lucky are those who understand the realities early. Am just glad I've been one of the chosen ones by the universe.

You know I always share my set of daily struggles

You know I always share my set of daily struggles here whenever I can. And, also about those who pleasantly surprise me with some unexpectedly sweet gestures.

One such moment was when, apart from representing my own self, I also represented The Retail Jeweller magazine, a decade and a half old print publication from Mumbai at IIFA Awards 2019 Green Carpet.

The owner & editor, never met me. My credentials and deliverables were asked. We did negotiate on my fee and came to a mutual decision. I asked for advance and the Finance person was directed to send the money immediately. Rare it is in today's world!

Though, I was in Mumbai but we still couldn't meet. I had promised 4-5 celebrity video-interviews. I sent 10 out of respect and as an acknowledgement of their trust in me.
