Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos may not have been a supposed “box office hit” but it has received critical acclamation from those who thought the movie was well conceived and crafted by none other than the ace director Anurag Basu.

It has been exactly one year since the movie’s release and team’s hard work has finally been recognized by IIFA at its annual award ceremony in Bangkok. The film has received three technical awards for best background score, choreography and special effects.

For Basu, Jagga Jasoos was never a Galti Se Mistake.

“Somehow Ranbir’s performance in Jagga Jasoos has been ignored across award functions because I feel he has done amazing work in Jagga Jasoos. So I’m happy he has got nominated and also performing at IIFA!”, Basu told GW as he walked the Nexa IIFA Awards Styled by Myntra Green Carpet.

When asked about a certain box-office response makes a difference to him or not, Basu replied, “The question we need to ask is that are we proud of our work or not. I will be a failure the day I make cinema I’m not proud of. If I’m making a film and I’m proud of it – that’s it for me.”
