Having braved heart attack recently, actor Annu Kapoor is back to work and in his first public appearance post ailment, he was seen at the residence of RSS Leader Shri Indresh Kumar in New Delhi. The veteran actor took Kumar’s blessings for his upcoming film ‘Main Deendayal Hun’ and also celebrated his birthday.
The movie will see Annu Kapoor in the role of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, the political figure instrumental in forming ‘Bhartiya Jan Sangh’, the forerunner of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP).
Known for his performances in films like ‘Darr’, ‘Vicky Donor’, ‘Aitraaz’, Kapoor is now set to showcase his versatility as Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. The shoot will begin soon.
“There are very few opportunities when actors get to play a character they can relate to. I am happy to get such roles at this age”, Kapoor said.
‘Main Deendayal Hun’ is produced by Ranjeet Sharma of TGM Films. “I was inspired by Shri Indresh Kumar Ji (RSS) for this film. The youth will love watching the film and I am sure that the masses will connect with the flick. Moreover, the film’s story is written by Rashid Iqbal and directed by Pawan KK Nagpal. The film will extensively be shot in Uttar Pradesh. Let’s wait to see how Annu Kapoor leaves the audience impressed with another power-packed performance”, he stated.
Movie is co-produced by Hareesh Reddy Nagalamadaka and Rajeev Dhamija is the Executive Producer.
