Race 3 and now, IIFA! Bobby Deol is making a comeback one after the other and the “excitement” doesn’t seem to be exhausting for the star anymore.
After seven years of hiatus, the Bollywood actor will be performing at annual The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) show which is being held at Siam Niramit, Bangkok.
“I am just very excited and looking forward to my performance at IIFA 2018 Awards. It’s amazing to be back at IIFA after 7 years and it’s always so much fun to be here!”, Deol shared in an exclusive conversation with GW at Nexus IIFA Awards Styled by Myntra.
IIFA is a brainchild of Andre Timmins, Sabbas Joseph and Viraf Sarkari and Deol shares a good camaraderie with them. Hence, it was inevitable for the actor to make a comeback to the globally celebrated platform as well.
“I’m very close to Andre (Timmins), Sabbas (Joseph) and Viraf (Sarkari) and it gives me happiness for us all to come together”, said the actor whose latest flick Race 3 has crossed Rs 100-crore mark at the box office.
On being asked about his rare appearances in movies and if it impacts him psychologically, the star said, “No, no I’m fine, absolutely happy and excited. The fact that Race 3 has done so well and people have liked my work has got me energized. I feel like I can keep on working harder.”
But has he decided to call it quits as yet? Sorry, trolls. He’s here to stay.
“I want to go on forever and ever. I just don’t want to stop acting.”
When asked about his controversial DJ stint, Deol replied, “I don’t want to talk about all such things. I never was a DJ. I had gone to attend a night club opening and just tried a hand. I don’t even know how to spin. It’s just that you get trolled easily. That’s how people talk. I’m not a DJ!”
The third installment of Yamla Pagla Deewana is on its way in August and Deol will be seen in it.
