Titan Company Ltd., in association with Khadi Villages and Commission Industries, has introduced the new ‘Khadi Collection’. The announcement was made in New Delhi by Ravi Kant, CEO, Watches & Wearables, Titan, in the presence of Nitin Gadkari, Honourable Union Minister of MSME, Road Transport & Highways, Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Honourable Minister of State MSME, Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries, Dr. Arun Kumar Panda, Secretary of MSME and Vinai Kumar Saxena, Chairman, KVIC.

For the first time ever, Titan has used a non-horological material like Khadi on the dial and strap of the watches. Since Khadi is handwoven, every single watch in this collection is unique because of the distinctive weave and texture. The straps of the watches have also been treated with a special coating to make them more durable without compromising on its authentic texture. The collection is a unique and elegant blend of simplicity and modernity.

Ravi Kant, in a video conversation, told me company had approached the Government of India with the unique idea of making Khadi watches, marketing plans for the new offering and what makes these watches different from brand’s other varieties.
