Runners from all walks of life are gearing up for the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon in the Capital city as the registrations are now open. The 15th edition of ADHM will take place on October 20 in New Delhi and is set to host professional runners as well as running enthusiasts who will run through the fast and picturesque course of the Capital.

Around 35,000 runners are expected to participate in one of the most popular half marathons in India and across the globe. The IAAF Gold Label race, organized by Procam International, will have five categories – Half Marathon (21.097km), Great Delhi Run (5km), Open 10K, Senior Citizens’ Run (3.2km) and Champions with Disability (3.2km).

Great Delhi Run has undergone a transformation this year. It will be a timed category and GDR participants will be awarded a timing certificate and a finishers’ medal post-race, which they can use for official entry into other running events.

The theme for this year is #GoBeyond as the event not just brings Delhi together as one but also inspires thousands to challenge their inner beings to go extra mile in achieving personal and professional running success.

Extending their support in bringing this world-class sporting event to Delhi, telecom giants Bharti Airtel is the title sponsor for the twelfth successive year.

“The Airtel Delhi Half Marathon is today a landmark event and the most prestigious half marathon in the world. At Airtel, it is an absolute joy for each one of us to be a part of this world-class running event. It is simply amazing to see so many participants from across the world and India come together to celebrate the human spirit and run for a cause. We invite one and all to come join us this year as well and together make ADHM an even bigger success”, Vani Venkatesh, CEO, Delhi & NCR, Bharti Airtel said.

There are some new additions to the bulging sponsors list as well. Fast & Up has come on board as the energy drink partner while Help-Age India is the institution partner of ADHM 2019.

Delhi Capitals, the IPL franchise that finished third in the 2019 season, has also joined hands in its pledge to make Delhi fitter. The aim is to encourage citizens to embrace a fitter and healthier lifestyle round the year and make fitness a way of life.

“Fitness is not just for athletes, but for each and every one of us. Staying true to our adage of #ThisIsNewDelhi, Delhi Capitals urges Delhiites to shun the old unhealthy lifestyle, and embrace a new one – full of good health and fitness”, Dhiraj Malhotra, CEO, Delhi Capitals shared.

“This year is a special milestone for ADHM, as we celebrate the 15th edition of the event in the capital city. When we introduced this event in Delhi, we always believed that it had the potential to be one of the world’s most awaited races. The growth in its international profile, participation and support from the city, is a testament to the efforts of all stakeholders, in achieving this vision”, Vivek Singh, Jt. MD, Procam International, stated.
