They say love is unconditional and when it comes to animals you can expect only oodles of it. It’s time for the animal lover in you to give back in a unique way.

This weekend, Delhi will see an animal adoption drive of a different kind. The military dogs who have retired from the services will be on a lookout for loving families. Majority of these dogs will be German Shepherds and Labradors.

These trained canine officers will be rehabilitated for a change. The average number of years a dog serves in the Military is 8-10 years. Usually, they are trained to serve the nation and once they meet their retirement age, the voiceless soldiers are either euthanized or abandoned in the absence of right facilities and most importantly, human care.

This looks like an event that marks a change in that cruel tradition.

The adoption drive will happen on November 5-6 in Select Citywalk Mall in Saket, New Delhi.

All you dog lovers, be there! 🙂
